As angled radiator valves, they are tailor made for any heating product connected to pipework through the wall. They can also be used with underfloor piping, provided the radiator's inlets are located on the sides rather than the bottom.
As TRVs, or thermostatic radiator valves, they are also designed to save on energy bills through automatic temperature regulation. They contain a heat-sensitive capsule that responds to room temperature, expanding to limit the amount of hot water entering the radiator as your desired setting is reached. Once the room starts to cool again, the capsule will contract to allow more water inside. This keeps the temperature consistent in the most economical way possible, using less hot water without diminishing the radiator's heating output.
